Welcome to our web site!

We are Andy and Vicki Altes.

We continue to build and upgrade this site as a way of sharing our travels with you...our friends and fellow travelers, and as a resource for information that we have gathered and feel might be helpful.

We love to travel and it shows. On this website, we will share experiences of our travels. We will especially offer pictures and commentary on the various Military FamCamps and RV Camps in the State Park Systems of any and all states that we RV in.

Additiionally, we will list resources and forums that we have found helpful and interesting.

Traveling is much easier when you are comfortable. Our 2005 Bounder 35E keeps us in the comfort that we desire, with all the upgrades you can imagine. we have two slides (one of which is a super slide) that open the coach up to a large living space. We have to consider all of the occupants, not just Vicki and I. We travel with our fur-kids Rosie and Gypsy. They have the creature comforts that they need too. To go behind our coach we pull a 2005 Saturn Vue. This enables us to leave the coach and see the neighborhood.

Vicki and my home is in Marysville, California where we see our family between travels. We live across the streed from our youngest daughter Jennifer and her family..husband Joe and two of our grandchildren Joseph and Jessica. Our daughter Stacie lives in Stockton with our youngest grandchild Ashley, while my oldest daughter Lisa lives in Modesto with her husband Terry and oldest grandchild T.J.

I am retired Military, and also retired from the service industry. We travel a lot and try to use Military Bases whenever possible because they not only save us money, but are most usually very pleasand and considerably safet then som other places.

Although we do spend a considerable amount of time during the year on the road, we really do not camp much. We prefer to think of ourselves as RV Travelers. We travel in the RV but stay in really nice places, and very very rarely boondock.

Please take our site for a spin! We hope tht you enjoy the photos of the various Military Camp Grounds, as well as State Campgrounds that we have and will visit as well as the beautiful scenery along the way.
